Is this for you?

You don’t need a crisis to deserve support.

Individual therapy is for anyone who is carrying something they’re tired of carrying alone. If any of the below sounds familiar, we should talk.

Anxiety

— The “what ifs” won’t turn off at night

— You avoid things just to feel safe for a moment

— You’ve stopped caring about things you used to love

— Your mind races but your body feels stuck

Burnout & Stress

— You give everything at work and have nothing left

— Rest doesn’t feel restful anymore

— You wonder who you are outside your job

— Success feels meaningless and you don’t know why

Relationships & Communication

— You feel alone even when surrounded by people

— You say yes when you mean no and resent it after

— Anger or sadness comes out sideways

— You keep giving and never feel like it’s enough

Life Transitions

— A career change, loss, or move has left you unmoored

— You’ve achieved what you aimed for and still feel empty

— You’re in a chapter of life that no one prepared you for

— You know something needs to change but don’t know what

What to expect

Here’s exactly what happens.

The biggest barrier to starting therapy is not knowing what you’re walking into. So here it is, step by step.

01

Free clarity call

30 minutes via video call. You tell me what’s going on. No pressure, no intake forms — just a conversation to see if we’re a good fit. No commitment.

02

We set your goals

In the first session we agree on what you want to work toward and which approach suits you best — ACT, CBT, mindfulness-based, or a combination. Your goals, not a template.

03

Regular 75-min sessions

Online via video call, at a time that suits you. Sessions are 75 minutes. Frequency decided after first session. Reduces naturally as you progress.

The approach

Science-based. Built around you.

I draw from four evidence-based frameworks. The combination used in your sessions depends entirely on what you need — not a fixed protocol.

Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT)

Notice difficult thoughts, accept them without struggle, and act on your values anyway. The goal isn’t to feel better — it’s to live better even when things are hard.

Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR)

Trains your attention to stay in the present. Reduces the physical grip of stress and over time changes how your nervous system responds to pressure and overwhelm.

Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT)

We focus on what’s already working and build from there — rather than spending sessions analysing what went wrong. Practical, forward-looking, often faster-moving.

GROW Model

A structured framework for closing the gap between where you are and where you want to be. Goal, Reality, Options, Will — four clear stages that turn aspiration into action.

Questions

Things people want to know about individual therapy.

How is individual therapy different from coaching?

Coaching focuses on goals and performance. Therapy goes deeper — it addresses the emotional, psychological, and behavioural patterns underneath. I draw from both, but the foundation is psychotherapy, which means we can work at a level of depth that coaching doesn’t typically reach.

Do I need a specific problem to start?

No. “Something feels off but I can’t name it” is one of the most common starting points. You don’t need a diagnosis, a crisis, or a clear agenda. Many people begin therapy simply because they want to understand themselves better or live with more intention.

Can I do individual therapy while my partner does couples therapy?

Yes. Individual and couples therapy can work in parallel. In fact, many people find that personal therapy makes couples work more effective — you arrive at joint sessions with more self-awareness and clearer communication.

What if I don’t feel a connection with my therapist?

Tell me. The therapeutic relationship is the most important factor in whether therapy works — if something isn’t clicking, we talk about it openly. That conversation is itself part of the process. You’re never locked in.

How do I know therapy is actually working?

You’ll notice it in small ways first — a moment where you respond differently than you would have before, or a problem that used to feel impossible starting to feel manageable. We check in on your goals regularly so you always have a clear sense of where you are and where you’re headed.
