The mindfulness practice was really useful, learning to become self-aware is something I am looking forward to practice. We will organise more sessions like this for our staff as the response was very positive. Thanks Mr. Patel!!
The workshop was not a lecture type of session, it was very practical experience. The worksheet and reflective work was very helpful in understanding who we are and what we want from life.
The Majority of things I do are on Auto Pilot, the mindfulness exercise was very useful. The session taught me to be more self-aware, understand the triggers and not react automatically. I did feel sharing my thoughts/feeling on our values in group of mainly strangers might be bit scary or even undesirable, but you were attentive, good eye contact, made me feel at ease and actually speak which I hardly ever do! 🙂
I planned to follow your 3C framework of clarity, compassion and consistency in my life. Everything I learned in the workshop was not get rich scheme but strategies to make the life better.
I think the 4 sessions worked well, not too many and yet enough to cover the content well. I liked your manner and approach-ability. The hand outs were good and also the use of video/audio/Chinese finger trap thingy were all useful too.Also checking in outside of the sessions has been valuable for me and increases my taking action to succeed or at least keep at it! It was interesting to become aware of why moving towards improvement helps in our own capacity and society. Acceptance of thoughts and feelings was unique concept, which was explained very well. Thanks for providing some simple tools to improve quality of our life.
From your introductory session I learned focusing on what is important to me & what I want in life. I will try to observe what I am doing & try to decide on if I’m moving away or towards my goals.
My coaching experience with MP has not only helped me to achieve goals, but more importantly, it has enabled me to discover who I am, what makes me tick, and what those goals really are. He is a great listener, has the gift of being able to find what is needed that allows me to achieve those goals. My sessions with MP are always productive. Different exercises to accept our thoughts and concept of why acceptance is importance was very helpful. The other impressive concepts were learn to live in present moment via mindfulness, accept the pain and move towards. The video was really helpful to understand the Acceptance and Commitment Training concepts.
In the short amount of time you've covered some great topics. The Concept of moving away and towards, develop the skills of self-awareness and acceptance were mainly very unique. The Introductory session was very informative & skills related to self-need to be discussed further with future sessions. Looking forward to working together again.
The noticing and sorting tool (The Matrix) is going to be very useful in day-to-day life. I have learned techniques to be more and more self-observant so I can alter responses depending on life events. The video was useful to understand the overall concepts presented in your sessions.
The workshop helped me understand how to overcome the feelings of guilt, while staying mindful. Even though I was in workshop, it felt like one to one counselling sessions. All my questions were answered.
MP you have shown good clarity while explaining the psychological concepts and clarifying the q & A. Simple and clear presentation with relevant examples for the common people.
The session on setting goals was very useful, as I learned the importance of creating a step-by-step plan to help achieve my goals. The tip to regularly review the plan and make sure I am on track is something I will be going to integrate in my life. The group sessions were beneficial as it helped me focus on what I want to achieve as well as having the opportunity of verbalizing this during the chats with our group partners. Thanks!!
Your workshop was awesome. You touched many points like mindfulness, goal setting, moving away from bad behaviour. The self-awareness part made me understand my strengths and weaknesses.
