5 Science Backed Tips on Raising a Good Kid

As a parent and a professional who works with parents, I’m always looking for tips which will help kids become a better human being.
 
Most of the parents would want their kids to become better than them. They want them to have better carrier, business, life. 
 
The secret to raising good kid is not complicated but it is challenging. In my work I love to provide tips, tricks and techniques which is thoroughly tested by science, so here are some tips backed by Harvard Psychologists. 
 
 
1)Spend Time with Kids
 
In simplest terms, it means that you interact with your kid person-to-person. These are the things they will remember. They will forget what you bought them. When you are with them, be with them not on the phone or TV. Make them aware that you have all your attention towards them.
 
2) Speak To Your kid
 
Even though most parents and caretakers say that their children being caring is a top priority, often children aren’t hearing that message or seeing in action. The question you should ask is – What am I doing is caring? Something which will influence on your kid.
 
3) Give Freedom to Your Kid
 
Show your child how to solve problems without stressing about the outcome. One of the greatest gifts you can give your child is the ability to analyse, make mistakes and solve problems. Let them fail and learn.
 
4) Teach Gratitude
 
Studies show that people who engage in the habit of expressing gratitude are more likely to be helpful, generous, compassionate, and forgiving–and they’re also more likely to be happy and healthy. Do random act of kindness regularly with them.
 
5) Teach Self-Management
 
Often when children don’t express empathy it’s not because they don’t have it. It’s because some feeling or image is blocking their empathy. Often the ability to care for others is overwhelmed, for example, by anger, shame, envy, or other negative feelings. Teach them to manage emotions.
